
About Meghan

Meghan Roos is a journalist based in Southern California with a background in breaking news, sports writing and entertainment coverage. She currently contributes to Newsweek's breaking news team, where she has since the spring of 2020 reported on a wide range of topics including the coronavirus pandemic, the 2020 presidential election, the 2021 gubernatorial recall election in California and the Russia-Ukraine war. Meghan worked previously as a digital news producer at KSWB-TV in San Diego and as the web editor at Women's Running magazine.
In addition to her writing and editing work, Meghan freelances for several music and culture publications. Her articles have been published by Blues Rock Review, Competitor, Consequence of Sound, Elmore Magazine, FOX 5 San Diego (KSWB-TV), High Voltage Magazine, Interview Magazine, Newsweek, Noisey, PopMatters, Rock and Roll Globe, San Diego CityBeat, San Diego Reader, The San Diego Union-Tribune, San Francisco Weekly, Women's Running and 1146miles.com.
Meghan has a master's degree in journalism from New York University and a bachelor's degree in communication from UC San Diego. Her first novel, The Mirrored World, was published in 2012.
